There were more bombs dropped in the Vietnam War than there were in Europe during World War II.



In fact, in both Vietnam and nearby Laos there are still many unexploded bombs. 10-15 percent of the bombs dropped on Vietnam never exploded, along with up to 30% of the bombs dropped on Laos. Bombs have continued to be found rusting in the jungle in modern times. Some Vietnamese villagers have made a living digging up and selling these old bombs for about $2 a day.
