Earlier in the week we heard that Microsoft’s Windows 8 would come with Xbox Live built in, which will bring Xbox Live to PCs, notebooks, netbooks and tablets, along with all it features.

The video below gives us a good look at the user interface and also some of the features in Xbox Live for Windows 8, including the sharing and friends features.

It certainly looks very interesting from the video, and we cant wait to see what Xbox Live is like in action when it lands on the PC and tablets with Windows 8.

Samsung has launched a new microSD card designed to be used with mobile phones and smartphones, the Sandisk Mobile Ultra microSDXC card, which comes with 64GB of storage.

The majority of the smartphones available on the market at the moment support microSD cards up to 32GB, so we may have to wait a while before some of the new devices support 64GB cards.

It isn’t clear whether this new Sandisk Mobile Ultra 64GB microSDXC card will work with any existing devices, it will be available shortly for $219.

If you haven’t already given Valve’s amazing Portal game a go, nows your chance to give it a go for free. Valve has opened up the original game in the Portal series to download for free.

The original Portal game was first released back in October 2007 as part of the Orange Box Bundle and soon gained a strong following being released as a stand alone game in 2008.

We have already seen Windows 8 running on a number of different tablets, and now the guys over atWinrumors have put together a video comparing Windows 8 running on a tablet to iOS 5 running on theApple iPad.

The video below shows a wide range of functions running on each device and compared side to side, which gives us a good idea on how Windows 8 for tablets compares to iOS 5.

The Windows 8 running on the tablet is the developer preview version, and we suspect it will be a lot more polished and user friendly wen it launches, it certainly does look very interesting from the video and also from what we have seen previously.

Today Google has rolled out its Android Voice Actions across Europe with multi-language support, enabling you to control your Android smartphone or tablet with voice commands. Google Voice Actionshave already been available to US residents since last year but now Google has decided to roll out the features further afield.

The new voice commands will allow you to browse the web, make calls, send texts and carry out other common tasks by ust simply talking to your phone or tablet. Watch the video after the jump to see the new Google Voice Actions in use.

Voice Actions is available on phones and tablets running Android 2.2 and higher and here are the current Voice Actions you can use :  send text to [contact] [message], call [business], call [contact], go to [website], navigate to [location/business name], directions to [location/business name], map of [location].

If you haven’t already played the ground breaking game Batman : Arkham Asylum or would like to play it on your Mac. You will be pleased to know that port developer Feral Interactive has this week announced that the original Batman : Arkham Asylum game will be arriving on Mac machines on October 13th.

The game was originally first released back in 2009 for PC and Xbox 360 and developed by Rocksteady Studios and published by Eidos Interactive. All three of the original platforms will in fact be getting the sequel, Arkham City, on October 18th.

Sprint’s version of the Samsung Galaxy S II, the Sprint Epic Touch 4G has finally gone on sale in the US and it is available SIM and also with a contract with Sprint, the SIM free version costs $499.99 whilst the contract version is $199.99 and you will have to sign up to a new two year agreement with Sprint.

The Samsung Epic 4G Touch features a 4.52 inch Super AMOLED Plus display, and a dual core 1.2GHz processor.

The Sprint Samsung Epic 4G Touch include an 8 megapixel camera on the back with an LED flash and a 2 megapixel camera on the front it also features Bluetooth and WiFi.

Earlier this month it was rumoured that Google would not be releasing a Google+ API any time soon to developers. But today Google has announced the release of a new Google+ API via its Google+ Platform Blog, although the API doesn’t allow everything to be harnessed by developers.

The new API focusses on public data only enabling developers create apps using Oauth2 authentication that can only currently read information Google+ users have shared publicly on Google+. So the current API falls far short of a full blown API developers would have rather seen released by Google.

The Google+ API uses existing web programming standards and includes libraries for Java, GWT, Python, Ruby, PHP, and .NET.

“Because we’re starting with public data only, you simply need to register your app before making requests. And if you aren’t yet sure which Google+ user is running your app (for example, because they’re installing it for the first time), then you can use the new plus.me OAuth2 scope to ask the user who they are.”
