Today Sony has rolled out a new PlayStation Home 1.55 update which brings with it a new start-up experience, updates to the Wardrobe and Furniture browser. Together with a few tweaks to improve stability and provide a smoother operation.

Unfortunately its not the PlayStation Home relaunch we are highly anticipating but Sony says that the PlayStation Home relaunch is still on track and will be arriving this fall. When the new version of PlayStation Home arrives it has been designed to provide a more engaging social gaming platform for PS3 owners.

The PlayStation Home relaunch will bring a virtual environment to gamers offering a “world of games”, enabling players to rapidly interact and connect with friends and other gamers of similar styles and interests using “Themed Districts”.

Many of us were expecting to see Facebook’s Project Spartan at their recent F8 event, and now some more screenshots of Facebook’s Project Spartan have appeared online, they turned up on the Facebook Mobile Developers page, and have now been taken down.

From what we have heard previous, Project Spartan is a HTML5 based mobile platform that will let you run mobile web apps on your smartphone, have a look at the photos below.

It is possible that the screenshots above could also be for Facebook’s revamped mobile app, which we are expecting to see at Apple’s iPhone 5 event next week.

A couple of weeks ago Samsung’s latest tablet, the Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1, appeared at the FCC, and it was headed to T-Mobile, now T-Mobile has officially confirmed that they will be selling the newSamsung Galaxy Tab 10.1 on their network in the US.

The Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1 comes with a 10.1 inch display with a resolution of 1280 x 800 pixels, there is also a dual core 1GHz processor and it is capable of playing back full HD video in 1080p.

The Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1 features dual camera, with a 2 megapixel camera up front and a 3 megapixel camera on the back for photos and video.

T-Mobile haven’t as yet given any details on when the Galaxy Tab 10.1 will be available on their network in the US and also haven’t revealed how much it will cost, as soon as we get some more information we will let you guys know.

An internal PayPal email may have inadvertently unveiled the launch date for Microsoft’s new Xbox 360Dashboard. Back in May Microsoft revealed that PayPal would be added as an additional payment method, which then became available to Xbox 360 games on May 19th.

However this week an internal email sent by PayPal to its employees asking them to test the service, has revealed that Nov. 15th, the 10-year anniversary of the original Xbox launch, as the date the new Xbox 360 Dashboard will arrive.

Obviously this hasn’t been confirmed by Microsoft but the date marking the 10th anniversary of the Xbox console would definitely be a good day to launch a new user interface. As always we will keep you posted if more information comes to light.

We have already seen a bunch of fake iPhone’s which have been produced in China, and now a counterfeiting ring has been arrested by Shanghai China, and the group was found to be using actualApple components to produce their fake iPhone’s.

Around 200 fake iPhone’s were received in the raid, and when they were looked at more closely, they were found to contain actual Apple components, and were hard to tell apart from the real iPhone.

The cost to make one fake iPhone, which used some genuine parts, was around 2,000 yuan ($313). It was sold on unauthorised markets and on the Internet for around 4,000 yuan, only a few hundred yuan cheaper than the real iPhone, the newspaper said. The fake iPhones had the same functions as the genuine ones but had a shorter battery life, it quoted the police as saying.

It does make you wonder how the counterfeiters got their hands on the genuine Apple components, they must have come from one of Apple’s suppliers.

Microsoft and Epic have announced that the newly released Gears of War 3 has sold over 3 million copies in the first week since it went on sale, and according to Microsoft it is one of the biggest sellinggames of 2011.

The news comes from Microsoft’s Major Nelson, who has also noted that Gears of War 3 ‘has already grossed more than any 2011 video game to date’.

It was also announced that the Gears of War franchise has now reached over $1 billion in lifetime sales, which is pretty impressive, and we suspect that many more copies of Gears of War 3 will be sold before the end of the year.

Apple and Samsung are currently engaged in more than 20 different court cases in nine countries around the world, the cases relate to patents which each company is accusing the other one of infringing related to smartphones and tablets.

Samsung has been Apple’s biggest supplier for some time now, and has supplied Apple many of the parts for its iPhone’s iPad’s and iPod Touch, and now according to Bloomberg, Apple’s former CEO, Steve Jobs attempted to enter into negotiations with Samsung, before the matters were brought to court.

According to the report, Steve Jobs approached Samsung in 2010, to start discussions between the two companies relating to the alleged patent infringements, the discussions were then handed over to other executives with in Apple.

Samsung is an important supplier with whom we have a deep relationship,” Lutton testified in response to questioning by Samsung lawyer David Catterns. “We wanted to give them a chance to do the right thing.

Steve Jobs wasn’t actually involved in the final negotiations between the two companies, which obviously broke down, and has led to the numerous court cases which are happening at the moment.

Sharp has announced their latest Android smartphone, the Sharp Aquos 102SH and it comes with some impressive specifications, which include a 4.5 inch glasses free 3D HD display with a resolution of 1280 x 720 pixels.

The Sharp Aquos 102SH is powered by a dual core 1GHz Ti OMAP 4430 processor, and it will come with Android Gingerbread, and also feature 1GB of RAM.

Other features on the Sharp Aquos 102SH include a microSDHC card which comes with a 32GB card installed, DLNA, Bluetooth, WiFi, and a 12 ,megapixel camera.

The Sharp Aquos 102SH will go on sale in Japan in December, there are no details on pricing as yet.
