Tomorrow is the day that Electronic Arts and DICE declare war. We all know the answer to who the first (and only) bombs are being dropped on, and if not, EA's marketing partners have made it quite obvious with their "Rise Above The Call (of Duty Modern Warfare 3)" ad campaign. And why not? Battlfield 3 has a leg up on the competition at least for a few more weeks!
While a few of us have made our viewpoints known on the impending war, and many gaming journalists feeling scorned by their lack of a review copy, we will trudge on. For many of gaming journalists have been burned before, deprived of their glorious assets and samples and forced to line-up among the grunts at the retail establishments. Despite all of this, Battlefield 3 is shaping up to be quite a blockbuster and will likely receive a plethora of accolades from those who are at the moment a little peeved.
So before the troves line up outside GameStops, Frys and Best Buys around the country at midnight, take a gander at these screenshots below. And remember, if you want some of this glorious HD goodness, you're probably going to have install the game on your hard drive. But from the looks of these screenshots, it's totally worth the space.
